So, I found this site because I was searching through the net for info about fair trade. I've heard all about this fair trade fortnight, I think it ended yesterday...
The idea is that the people growing the food get more money for it right? But what I don't understand is why do you have to buy fair trade food for that to happen? How come the government doesn't do something that means a certain percentage of money has to go back to the farmer on everything that you buy?!
Is fair trade mainly for food? I saw this thing on the news (might have been newsround) about their being special labels on fair trade clothes in TopShop. But I've never seen them!

Hello. Yes it was Fair Trade fortnight last fortnight and place like Leeds had banners up and lots of events were held. You can get Fair Trade Clothes aswell as stuff like footballs, but you're right, it is mostly food.
I don't know about TopShop, I will have to investigate this.
